This year over 1000 couples will  choose a Grand Cayman Wedding.  Many of these will be visiting on one of the many cruise ships which call at George Town, Grand Cayman and will be married while in port.  Others will arrive by plane and stay at one of our beautiful hotels or condos, an ideal setting for their Grand Cayman beach wedding.

Choosing to get married in Grand Cayman is quick, easy and simple.  The Cayman Islands has no residency requirement, which means you can be legally married the same day you arrive…making Cayman a favourite spot for a Destination Cruise Wedding.

Once you have decided to be married while in Grand Cayman, the first thing to do is to contact a Marriage Officer.  Your Marriage Officer will take care of all the details of your Special Marriage License, and when the wedding is over, you will be sent a Registered Marriage Certificate, the legal document which shows that your Cayman marriage is legal world-wide.

I have been a Marriage Officer for 14 years and have officiated at hundreds of weddings. My official title is Civil Registrar of Marriages, which means I am licensed by the Cayman Islands government to perform marriages in the Cayman Islands. In 2008 I performed 124 weddings for both visitors and residents. 

A Simple Grand Cayman Wedding

Vow Renewals - Wedding Vow Renewals on the beach are a big part of my work.  Couples choose to renew their vows, often with their children and sometimes their grandchildren present.  Most times I write a part for the children into the ceremony.
Grand Cayman Wedding Blessing - If you have had a legal, but not a religious ceremony and you have been married less than two years, I will do a contemporary, spiritual ceremony with the blessing of the wedding rings.

Transportation - Coming in by cruise ship?  I will meet you at the harbour and take care of all the arrangements to get you and your group to the wedding location of your choice.
